We've got some great news to announce regarding the UPnP_ certification process.

In order to simplify the certification process and beginning immediately, we are eliminating the $2,000 device registration fee for all new device certifications. 

This means that you can certify as many products as you wish and they are all covered by the annual UIC membership fee of $5000.  As you know it's extremely important for consumers to identify UPnP_ technology based products and we strongly encourage you to quickly take advantage of this new streamlined process to certify all your UPnP products and building block solutions.

During the last 2 years, millions of UPnP compliant products have been shipped.

The UPnP architecture is gaining industry momentun as a key technology for groups such as the Digital Home Working Group (DHWG) and the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). There are now more than 650 members of the UPnP Forum with more than 100 added in the last year.

There are now more than 64 UPnP_ certified products and 34 UIC member companies. Products authorized to display the UPnP certification mark provide an easy way for consumers to recognize devices that have been developed with a simple method for connecting to home and corporate networks.  more
