The UPnP™ Implementers Corporation (UIC), a non-profit corporation, has a mission to:

• Promote the adoption of UPnP™ technology by hardware and software manufacturers
• Administer the UPnP™ device certification process and the UPnP™ logo licensing

What is UPnP™ architecture and technology?

An industry initiative designed to enable simple and robust connectivity among stand-alone devices and PCs from many different vendors.

What is the relationship between the UIC and UPnP™ Forum?

The UPnP™ Forum defines and approves the UPnP™ Device Architecture (UDA) as well as the device and service specifications. The UIC uses these documents in its device certification and logo licensing processes.

Who can join the UIC?

Any UPnP™ Forum member that wants to promote adoption of UPnP™ technology and certify products is welcome to join. Currently, the UIC includes 77 member companies.

Why should my company join?

When you certify your products and display the UPnP™ certification mark, you communicate directly to customers that your products are easy to install and configure.
